When you support WMNR you bring music uninterrupted by commercials, news, or traffic reports into thousands of homes. Without a subscription or special equipment, so many listeners find companionship, insight, and escape when they tune in to WMNR. Thank you!

"Kurt asked during the drive why people listen. I am a new widow and I listen because it fills the silence."

—Nancy

“My father, age 86, loved outdoor music, now not able to do so. He is now bringing his ‘Alexa’ outside on the deck and listening with my mom on one of the old lawn chairs to Tanglewood live! Thank you for enriching the lives of others.”

—Jordan

WMNR has been a lifesaver over the past 16 months. It has kept me sane and calm while the world teetered on pandemic catastrophe.

—Elizabeth Steffen, Old Saybrook, CT

“Pavarotti has just sung my favorite aria, the one from La Bohème and yes I’m brought to tears by its beauty. To follow was an absolutely lovely selection in honor of the start of Yom Kippur. How grateful I am to WMNR Fine Arts Radio, all who work to make it so consistently comforting, healing, informative, and beautiful. Thank you all.”

—A listener from Long Island

"Thank you for the terrific music that I always enjoy!”

—A listener from Wallingford, CT

“Since there was a WMNR Fine Arts Radio, this station has been on in our household from sunup to sundown. WMNR affords quality music of eclectic genres that relaxes and brightens up the days and at the same time does enlighten us to musical knowledge. Peace and Joy.”

—Betty Heiney, Monroe, CT

“First, I can listen through my computer or cell phone but that's true for many classical music stations. WMNR enables me to listen on the radio and in the car also and that is nice. There is something about listening to and supporting a local radio station that pleases me.

Second, I tune in for programming, not political indoctrination. Some classical music stations out there seem to have hours of political commentary masking as reporting the news. A little might be o.k., but not hours of it and it means a lot to me to know that "my station" is not a part of the NPR culture.

Third, I enjoy a number of your syndicated programs and try to remember to tune regularly to "Exploring Music" (my favorite), and in the summer to live broadcasts from the BSO at Tanglewood. I know I can hear them elsewhere on the internet, but, again, I tend to want to go to the same place for these musical problems if possible.”

—Jim, North Haven, CT

“So many great classical radio stations have vanished in the last few decades. I increasingly rely on WMNR to bring me not only composers I cherish, but to teach me something about the broader classical repertory. As a source of discovery and beauty, the station has no peer in New England.”

—Charles Clark, Bethany, CT

“We have always valued having WMNR as a daily companion in our lives, especially since we have been isolated a lot more during this pandemic. The broadcasters have become like family to us.”

—Helen and Don Hughlett, Bloomfield, CT

“Whenever I have some radio-listening time, the first and only station I select is WMNR. I can always be assured of quality programming featuring many of my favorite classical works or the pleasure of discovering something new!”

—Eugenie Rocherolle, Old Lyme, CT

“WNMR means the world to me and my family — not just as our constant companions here at home, but as a vital part of the cultural ecosystem of Connecticut. I can’t imagine living here without it, and I urge everyone to join me in supporting it so that it may prosper even more!”

—Alexander Platt, Concert Curator, MoCA Westport

“Thanks for making this afternoon so beautiful.”

— Amanda from NYC
