Broadcaster Dick Hageman (l) with David (r), at a WMNR gathering at the Leroy Anderson House in Woodbury, CT in 2017.

David Citronberg passed away at the age of 96 on January 28th, 2024. You can read more about his long and accomplished life here. Any condolences you care to send can be emailed to info@wmnr.org. They will be shared with his family and our broadcasters and staff.

David joined WMNR Fine Arts Radio in 1988. He came to WMNR following completion of the station's History of Radio course. Although David was not a musician, he knew and loved great music since he was a child, when he began listening to Saturday night radio concerts. His broadcasts reflected a lifetime of understanding and appreciating music and he especially enjoyed those composers of the Romantic Period.

Originally from Gloversville, New York and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Boston University Law School, David was an attorney by trade. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and took great pride in his son, daughter, grandchildren, and great grandson.
